Brett Ost, the director of RBC, moved to Rocklin when he was in third grade. At that age, he started attending Coach Steve Taylor's Rocklin Basketball Camps. From 3rd grade to senior year, Brett heard a consistent message on how to improve as a basketball player. Less voices, less noise, and consistent steady development. When Brett was a senior, his team was the first SFL and SJS Section Champions in RHS history, and went 32-4 in 2001.
We share this story to emphasize the value of a group of kids having a consistent message, from youth to adulthood, and how much it meant / created results for Coach Brett and the program we continue to create at RHS for the boys of the Rocklin community.
With Brett's committment to RBC from 3rd to 12th grade he earned a free college education while playing basketball and is now back to impart the lessons he learned during his formative years with the Rocktown Ballers of today.
